HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADISON!

today's Madison's birthday. she's 2yrs old. seems like only yesterday that she was born. i remember her mother bringing into church while i was volunteering one day. she's still cute as ever and sweet as can be. she's the most joyful kid i've been around in a long time. unless she's hungry or tired, she doesn't ever get fussy. she's always laughing, smiling, and playing her little heart out. she's such a great JOY in my life and teaches me the treasures of children...

Anyways, Marsha (her grammy) and i celebrated her day last nite. she loves cars nowadays and her grammy bought her a little race track she could play with (see first photo) her mommy taught her how to load the cars and push the lever so they would go and she learned it immediately. she played with it all night, well in between a few other toys. she also enjoyed the small Pooh & Tigger balloon i picked up for her at the grocery store while i was gettin the ice cream. she enjoyed the ice cream best. she didn't like her icing on top of the cupcake and only ate a tidbit of the cake. she did get some beautiful clothes from her grammy as well. o yes, the pink car (photo above) was one i had and gave to her. i got it in the mall when some girls were playing with it while i worked. over the balcony did it come and fall on my kiosk. the girl didn't want to own up to the fact it was, so i kept it. girl did it come in handy for Madison. anyways, it was a great nite. i told Marsha i didn't know what i had signed up for when they made me Madison's auntie...lol i was on auntie duty last nite. diaper duty again. running for milk for her. and today, hanging out with Madison at church while Marsha attends the second service. and only Madison and i had cake & ice cream last nite. we were hanging out. she's a great little buddy. soooo happy i got to see her last nite after 4 weeks hiatus....
ok, now a quick note. no Balloon Fiesta today. it's raining outside buckets of drops. so no balloons will be going up today. regardless, i had decided not to go today anyways. my friend and mentor asked me to join her for the first service this morn. she knows the minister candidate that is talking. after that, i'm hanging with Madison until second service is over. then i work at the church 1-7pm today. it would have made for another long day. why i didn't go when i was awake early yesterday morn is almost beyond me, but the truth is i kept thinking i might be working til 10pm at the church yesterday. that's the only reason that stopped me. i didn't know until 4pm yesterday how late i was going to be there. thankfully George came in, therefore letting me spend my evening with Marsha & Madison. so anyways, the balloon fiesta is 10days long. i'm shooting for tomorrow morning providing weather is good. i haven't ever been during the week and i hear not as many balloons get up in the sky. well maybe that'll make better opportunities for photos, plus the crowd will be lower in population. even if i make tomorrow morning, i still want to go this next weekend when it's fully loaded. so hang in there my friends, fiesta photos are in the works.....now i'm off, gotta get ready for church. i'm half way there and i've got to run to Marsha's to pic up the cookies she baked for the church. she volunteered me since she'll have Madison this mornin. again another duty in being auntie...i love it!

That Madison is adorable. The pictures are great. Glad you had some help show up at church to relieve you so you could celebrate. I'll tackle that slide show on another day. I saw the balloons one year when we were traveling through the area. It was wild and beautiful. Anne
