this was above my tent. the twisted branches of the trees. the trees were nice & tall & red. they really kept things cool . they were absolutely beautiful. I'm ready to go camping sum more. next month for sure. may just go back here to the Jemez. wherever I go it must be cool. will look at that the closer I get to going. by then the monsoon season will be here too...well maybe. the monsoon season the past years have knot be reliable. regardless, I'm going camping. anything to be out in nature.....talked to someone from church the other day. she lives on the other side of the mountains here where I used to live. she recommended I move back up there too. in time I probably will. don't have the money at this moment, but will maybe next year or soon thereafter. I have no idea where my life will lead me at this point. taking it one day at a time. It's all good. Life is Good still. just minor trials and tribulations along the way..if that....

Jemez Falls

knot the best of shots of the falls, but I was hanging from the ledge just to get this one. so many boulders surrounding these falls, this was the best angle I found. loved the sound of the running water. I should have jumped in......
but alas I went back to camp wet with only sweat. it was still hot there, but fortunately there was a nice COOL wind blowin' to keep it cooler than here in town. the night cooled off and it was a very pleasant night. the moon came out...almost full...made for a beautiful quiet night. it was simply awesome to wake up in nature the next morn. next time I'm staying more than one night. I just didn't want to come back down....but O, how 1 night did great wonders....!!!!

well I finally learned how to use the self-timer on my camera. hadn't had the inclination to do so until now. since I'm going on my camping trip in a couple days, I wanted to know how to include me in the shots I take while camping....so alas, I started playing around with it. couldn't understand the directions in the book, so I just kept playing with the button. so this is my 3rd practice shot. ..now for the camping rip...hurry up Wed!!

so this is my first lesson...and it wasn't the entire lesson. this was the second tool I learned to use in photoshp via the lesson. this is the inverse. this is one thing I did want to learn. I didn't know it'd be the in the beginning of the lesson. the truck above really covered too much of the frame to get all of it encircled, but I like this start. I think I mentioned I bought a book to learn more about the photoshop I have. I've known a few important things but there's so much more on the program to know. so this is my first step. I'm happy...
...in the meantime, my Boo is all round up and it's too hot to walk her. she gets hot too easily and just can't hang in the heat. Sundays are my mornings to sleep in and indeed did do that. so manana (tomorrow). so Boo is driving me crazy at the moment, but I love her.....here's hopin' next week it cools down. no end in sight this week-ugh!

knot waiting anymore....

as the twists turns....so I'm knot waiting anymore to go camping. I finally looked up the weather for Bandelier Nat'l Park. it's 10 degrees cooler up there than it is here....and it's remaining HOT here with 95+ degrees all week. so I'll get to Ojito Wilderness laterz. right now I'm just anxious to get out in Nature somewhere. so off I'll go this coming Wed finally. I'd go sooner, but need to finish packing, clean a little and rest from 2 hot days @ work...and besides tomorrow is Father's Day so need to be near a city to call my dad. no connection where I'm headed....so I'll be back soon with more photos, then my camping adventure...have a Happy Father's Day!

I went to explore it a bit today b4 it got too hot. it wasn't too bad there with a nice cool breeze blowin' thru....it's beautiful out there......more photos soon. right now time to rest b4 work tomorrow. I'm drained from the heat....

quiet morn. nothing I 'have to' do except fold sum laundry. need to do a little more yard work which I'm doing in increments due to the hot weather. other than that, my day is free to do whatever I'd like. maybe I'll finally get my butt to the gym. it's within walking distance and a walk there wood be a good warm up. once to the gym, think I'll finally dive into that Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book to learn more about my photoshop. it'll be fun to see what creative adventures I can come up with. there's one thing I'd like to do and hope to discover how to do it in my photoshop. if it's knot there, I'll have to find a program that I can do it. I want to do a photo where it's black & white basically, but then one item is in color. got a perfect photo for that I'd like to see in that reflection. may have sum others too, but just to know how to do that is my goal. so this is my day. the 'hmmmm' in my title to this entry is really me wondering what will I do today. too hot to really go anywhere and be outside. Junes are like this I finally realized. just the time to sit in the shade and read a book-which I've been doing. so I'm off.....have a great one!

these are ancient ruins. I got to visit them while on the bird watching expedition. forgot to pick up material to share more about them. it was a cold day and anxious to get back in the car and stay warm. there are 2 other ruins knot far from here. I'll go visit them soon, once the weather cools down. they've changed the weather report on me again and it's getting HOT again. so once again I;ll delay my camping trip. one day soon I'll be out in Nature. in the meantime, I'm going to find a place just to take photos. I'm gettin' the itch....it's nice and cool this morn. quiet too....

I don't know the official name of this flower, but I'm calling it 'strawberry'. for sum reason the color reminds me of the fruit......in the meantime, this morn I woke to the weather report. it's going to be cool enough this week that I'm headed out camping. I've got to go!!!! it'll just be one overnighter, but it'll be nice to be away for a tidbit. I'm all but packed already and will finish that task in a couple days. I'm anxiously lookin' forward to the adventure. a night out in the wild! heaven in my opinion. sum may think heaven is not of this world, but I know heaven is right here. just look at the beauty around you.....

summer breeze...

today was a much better day. a lot quieter today @ work. the excitement of the day was an alarm going off. just a door open and the wind blew setting the alarm off. nothing exciting really. much nicer day that way. I like it that way. there's also been a nice cool wind blowing today. summer breeze. I didn't even need the air conditioning. so it's suppose to be cooler like this for a few days, then hot again toward the end of the week. one of these days it's got to cool off long enough so I can make that camping trip I planned. anxious to get out there. for the next few days while it is cooler, I'll go hiking just to be out in nature for awhile. that will be a nice change. otherwise, I'm just doing sum fun reading. taking it easy and staying cool. Life is sweet today....have a great weekend!

wacky day!

yep you're seeing right. a banana in a tree. fits perfectly for my wacky day @ work today. today seemed like one of those days that everyone was off key. the whole day was out of wack...either that or this is a normal Friday work day. i'll know in time. today was the day everyone under the sun parked on the sidewalks. every corner i turned, there sat another car blocking the sidewalk and it's my duty to get them moved. then a few other things happened as well as the day moved along. i had a 'short' lunch and there was never a dull moment. i barely got all my duties done for the day, but they were completed. for the past couple months i've had strong urges for a cigarette. i gave that up totally 2yrs ago, but the urges are back. so to reduce the urge and to wind down from the day, i came home to have a cold one...and did i.....now i sit all chilled out wondering what to do next. laundry needs to be folded, but will see....think i'll play in photoshop-sounds more like fun at least. it's still a good day. Life is Good! now I know I'll have WACKY days in lieu of stressful days....

it's DRY here and hotter than hell. but this is typical summer weather here, at least 4 now...stayin' kewl regardless...great time to chill with a book and indeed that's what I'm doin'. bought Classroom in a Book to learn more about my Adobe Photoshop. so will spend time with this daily until I can learn everything I can about it. will post anything I find really creative. should be fun just playin' around with it all. this is one of my summer projects...in the meantime I'm in search of photo opp places. got one in my for this week since I'm postponing camping until it coooools off. can't enjoy nature in this heat....but Life is still Good....

I'd like to be in the water with this guy about now. the temps are breakin' a 100 this weekend, if it didn't already today. now is the time for air. this is when I appreciate air conditioning, otherwise it's knot really my thing. but summers like these I'll use it. I don't go swimmin' anymore. don't have a body for a suit. so I'll enjoy the thought of swimmin with this guy....lol....here's hopin' everyone is stayin' cool.....

hummin' so little

so I went to the Peak again today. (see previous 2 posts too)...just chillin'. only a handful of hummingbirds to be found. I've seen only one here @ my hovel. I wonder if they will come back soon. haven't paid much attention to when they do return, but I thought they'd be here by now. it's been a cool spring up until this last week. atop the mountain, a very cool wind was still blowin' with patches of snow still hangin' around. other than that, a beautiful day. camping got postponed again this week, so I thought a day in the mountains wood be great..and it was indeed. just what I needed. my mind and soul are refreshed for a little while longer. now to stay cool here as the temps approach breaking a 100. Life is Good today...and it's another wonderful quiet evening.....
