I'm a happypotamus today. remember my little hiking buddy? well her grandma is talking to me again...Woo Hoo!!! i knew she wood. I just didn't know how long it wood take. we have just begun chatting again. she just sent me a photo of my hiking buddy and her baby sister. woo hoo!!! it's great to have them back in my life. I've missed them. so I'm a Happy camper today. Life is looking a little brighter :-)!!!!

so this is called Red R...don't remember where it's from, I think? Africa...but it must be a descendant of pigs. at least that's what it looks like to me....
anyhows, it's a night to chill in front of TV. been doin' that a lot lately. now is the time to watch the Colorado Rockies. did I mention I went from Comcast cable TV to DIRECTV? in the process I lost the Airzona Diamondbacks and picked up the Colorado Rockies. that's kewl, my #1 baseball team is still the Boston Red Sox. but I've started watchin' football replays. I'm getting the itch for football season already, my favorite sport of all, followed by tennis. now that I have DIRECTV, I'm seriously contemplating getting the NFL Ticket so I can watch my Chicago Bears every Sunday. I've all but signed up for it already. probably soon..real soon....in the meantime it's one more day b4 back 2 work. I enjoy my 5 days off so much nowadays that when it's time for work part of me doesn't want to go. but I love my new job. I'd work more hours if I could. so I'm thinking of volunteering one day a week somewhere. just need to do sum research and decide where to volunteer. won't start til September. I'm still taking the summer off. a little ways 2 go yet. it's been a week of visiting with old friends from the church. now that's over, I'll decide what my next move will be. looking into 2 other churches, then decide from there. for now more joy for the summer...it's down time and I'm taking it....

cool and wet..

I was prayin' for cooler temps and I got it. but also came with it is sum major rain. it is refreshing to say the least but it still isn't getting me on the hiking trails. I may don the rain poncho and head out anyways, but then again it'll be muddy as all get out, too slippery for a safe hike. maybe just a walk in the rain around the block. any way that I can be outside. the front door is open and it connects me to the elements as the birds sit on the wire waiting it out. maybe they're waiting for me to feed them again. in but a moment.....
....in the meantime, I went to the baseball game with the church yesterday. I haven't seen people in 2 months. it was a good visit but also another lesson learned or reminded of why I won't return there. my journey there is all but behind me. I'm suppose to help one of them pack tomorrow evening for their move. after yesterday I sit mulling over whether to go there or knot. I have been a bit perplexed of my sudden departure from there realizing it came to an abrupt ending so soon. I had no idea I'd be learning what I did in the past year or so to make such a drastic change. but I am pressing on. I want the connections to be totally over, tomorrow night for sure, if knot sooner. I am in such disbelief with this place and sum of the people, but I must let them be and let go. it is all but done. my Sunday church may be Sunday football for the season. then maybe I'll think about another church or knot at all. only time will tell for me. I have studied and learned spirituality on my own before, that looks more appealing right now than anything else. my favorite church anyways is Nature. I'll be back there soon too. I have much more to learn, grow and change. in the days to come, I will. for now a simple life. Live and let live. a new dawn is on the horizon and it brings so much more.....

I think I posted these before....
but I love these particular ones....

I finally got these framed in a collage frame recently....I hung them on my wall, a little crooked but will straighten it out once I paint in here next month. anyhow, the monsoon rains came in yesterday finally. it has cooled off 30degrees much to my surprise. it dropped from 100 down to the 70s right now. it feels great. I have a baseball game this evening with the church and I had been concerned that it'd be too hot. now it's going to be perfect weather unless it rains on us, which is in the forecast. but I'll take it over the heat we've been having any day.....in the meantime there's a cat on the prowl now here at my bird feeder. the birds are hungry and I guess the cat is too. it looks like a stray. so the birds wait it out until it's gone, at least for now. so will see who wins this battle out.....other than that, it's a nice day to chill with some friends. all is quiet here and I'm soaking it all in. Life is Good today....

sleepin' koala

so a couple months ago I learned that I had missed the Koala bear at the zoo. so today I finally got there only to find him sleepin'....goodness...lol but someone told me later that they sleep a lot. so better luck next time when I get there to catch this guy awake. he was still a cutie patootie....I only spent a couple hours at the zoo. although cooler today, it was still a hot one. I came home with all my clothes drenched. but it was nice to be outside for awhile. it's been a good day mostly, time spent with friends. now to unwind b4 work tomorrow. I feel I could go to sleep now, but it's too early....lol....it's all good...Life is Good today!

good Boo!!!

it's another hot day. another 100 degrees. another day inside. but today I will endure the heat for a few errands. the worse of it won't hit until about 4pm when it's the hottest here until sunset. as I read yesterday, June was the hottest month nationwide. so now I know we're knot the only ones suffering from it.....
in the meantime I visited my neighbor yesterday. I learned a couple weeks ago that she has a new kitten. he's a cutie. all black and full of energy. anyways I had told her my only concern was him getting into my back yard. I didn't know whether or knot my rottie wood shred him to pieces. still don't know if my rottie likes cats at all. my neighbor lives behind me and my yard is easy access over the 6' fence for any cat. well my neighbor told me yesterday her kitten DID get into my back yard AND that my rottie did knot do anything. the kitten hissed and spat and had his back up to my 2 dogs. my dogs apparently just wanted to sniff the kitten, but with the kitten hissing plus, they didn't go near it and the kitten finally turned around and climbed back up the fence. Thank God!!! so I'm really proud of my rottie. I came home and gave my dogs a treat just for that. so this tells me that maybe I can bring a kitten home one day, but it won't be anytime soon. these 2 are enough for now. more than enough. my rottie is a handful just by herself. thank goodness my other dog is so mellow. there's plenty of time for a kitten laterz. much laterz. Life is Good just as it is at the moment...except the heat. all is well in New Mexico....
