Change your.....

I did this in photoshop today playing around some more. it is Adobe Photoshop CS3. lately i've been playing in 5.0 but now know CS3 enough i can just use it. I did the above photo for our church's website. had to bring in the reds more and typed one of our philosophical thoughts on it. the reds seem a little too much to me, but someone else liked it. plus it's pretty damn close to the vivid actuality when seen in person. I'm still in awe at times with the beauty I see in scenery here in NM even after 21yrs of living here. takes my breath away still at times.....
....now, tonight I will sleep on whether to hike with our church's hike group tomorrow or do it solo after hearing the news of my friend's passing. at the moment I feel like a solo hike, but tomorrow will be the last church group hike i can go on until next summer. my next Practitioner class starts at the end of the month and will take place on saturdays-ugh. another 30 weeks long, then a written exam and oral panel to get thru before I'm officially a Practitioner (spiritual counselor) at church. there are moments i still wonder if i want to do it. i'm having a moment like that now. so i'll sleep on everything tonight. wake up fresh in the morn for a new dawn, a new horizon, another beginning...

CC # 15

I've posted one of these flowers before, but wanted it to be my Color Carnival entry for this next week. they're called Indian Blankets. a wild flower I discovered a couple months ago. they're much prettier in person but I find them to still be beautiful...

in loving memory

I take a moment in memory of Suzanne.....I went to the park today to breathe in the fresh air and nature. often times I run into a postal co-worker taking her lunch, and I did again today. she immediately asked if I had heard about Suzanne another co-worker. she told me Suzanne had died only 2 nights ago. I was in shock...and still am. Suzanne was only 46 yrs old. apparently she learned she had kidney cancer and it had spread to her lungs and brain. not sure when she learned of this exactly, but i'm sure it was in the past few months. I worked with Suzanne. actually she was my supervisor before I left the p.o. she was on my case daily but I didn't let it interfere with my friendship with her. don't know how i did that, but i did. anyone else i might be still carrying a grudge. although Suzanne & I were at odds often about the job, we still talked like friends. guess there was something about her that I just couldn't hold anything against her. I can't believe she's gone. I haven't seen much of my postal co-workers since retiring but I stay in touch when I can. I just hope I get the info on her memorial before it happens. this will take awhile to sink in. Bless Suzanne and her famiily at this time. my deepest sympathies go out to them....

another photoshop!

still Hwy 555. different place in the road. same beautiful red clays and more...

sweeeeeeet!

I posted this photo recently. this is my updated version of it from playing in my new photoshop program. the reds are much richer. like it much better and depicts the colors more truly while driving down this Hwy 555. O i'm excited. Adobe Photoshop C3 (or is it CS3). anyways, just got it tonight from sum friends. they were over for dinner and to load this program for me. it was a great visit. now in 2 weeks we'll get together at their house and play sum more. Zephyr showed me sum basics. this is going 2 be 2 much fun! did I tell you I'm ecstatic about this....lol anyways, he also showed me how to load and remove photos on our church's website. they're handing that over to me. showed me how to resize the photos so they fit properly on the website. already have a few of my photos on it. the site isn't up and running yet, but hopefully we'll get there soon. it was a great evening playing.....and I was trying to diminish my time on the computer. well all that time just got added back on with these 2 things to play with. think I need that glass of wine now so I can relax and sleep well. it's been a great evening. nice to socialize sum more too. i'll be back soon, but maybe knot until after I've played sum more in photoshop..tee hee...
